Excellence in International Education & Further Qualification

The International Department of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology was founded as a private institution in 1999. On the campus of the service institution International Department (ID) there are four so called “schools” that offer mostly English taught qualification and continuous education programs in close cooperation with industry.

In global competition the need for internationally qualified employees is growing; employees, who are not only specialists in their competence field but also possess the so called soft skills in intercultural management. The philosophy of the International Department is based on this conviction and developed five integrative school concepts offering target group oriented, English taught qualification and continuous education programs for engineers and natural scientists in close cooperation with industry and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
